Covid-19 Update

Say goodbye to cabin fever and hello to fresh air, and open spaces….Lincoln Way has reopened and our team is ready to welcome you!

The past few months have been a challenging time for us all.  The State of Illinois has now entered Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan, so NOW is the perfect time to plan a Safe vacation getaway.

Here are our SPECIFICATIONS for creating your quality and safe stay, as well as our GUEST EXPECTATIONS:


Lincoln Way Inn specifications

We have made many adjustments to our operations to ensure your safety, as well as the safety of our staff. These include: 

  • Following all National, State of Illinois and regional mandated requirements for reopening. Please check here for the most up-to-date information from the City of Chicago.
  • A strict “stay at home if you feel sick” policy for all staff.
  • Lincoln Way Inn is a five star, healthy and clean experience. We follow the EPA and CDC guidelines for use of approved disinfectants for cleaning. You can be assured that we have thoroughly prepared for your stay with intensive disinfecting and cleaning processes.
  • Staff will be wearing masks at all times.
  • If Guests do not have masks upon arrival for check-in, we will provide (no contact check-in and check-out always available.)
  • Staff use shoes that are only for inside the inn.
  • We ask Guests to please remove shoes at (front or back) door and slippers will BEE provided.
  • Staff and guest temperature taken upon each arrival and shift.
  • Minimum two-night stay.
  • 24-hours between guests per room for complete cleaning and prevention of viruses as per the new industry standard. (American Hotel and Lodging Association Stay Safe).
  • Six feet required between unrelated guests and staff for social distancing.
  • Our new breakfast charcuterie service will be minimal to no contact. You will be provided menus at check-in for your breakfast choices and can be left for us on the front desk or via text message the night before.
  • Our refillable glass water bottles have been replaced with recyclable bottles.
  • Magazines, pens and pads of paper have been removed from desks, as well as decorative throw pillows and blankets.

If you would like to tour the Inn and property in consideration of a future event, tours are by appointment only – they must be scheduled in advance.  Tours will be limited to two guests and one staff member.  Follow this link for our event inquiry form to submit. After receipt, we will reach out to you to schedule a tour date.

Lincoln Way will follow the guidelines from the Restore Illinois plan for social gatherings:  Maximum of 50 guests in Phase 4.

Please note that due to our rigorous cleaning practices, we adhere to  24 hour room vacancy before and after guest stays. For those who have a gift certificate for one night and wish to book in 2020, we offer the following options:

  • Consideration of a future stay, as gift certificates never expire
  • Reserve a second consecutive night stay for 10% off your reservation

We are also relying on our visitors to help us maintain a safe environment at Lincoln Way and ask that you: 

  • Please stay home if you are unwell or have reason to believe you may have been exposed to someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19. We will work with you to reschedule.
  • Please stay abreast of all travel advisories and alerts that may affect your stay.  Currently the City of Chicago has a 14-day quarantine order affecting 16 states and territories*.  The order requires visitors to self-quarantine for a 14 day period or the duration of their time in Chicago, whichever is shorter.  If you visit Chicago from one of the listed states before your stay with LWI, you will be required to follow this order.
  • Book your stay or event with your household or those that you have defined as being within your safe social circle.
  • For your safety, and the safety of all guests and our staff, during your stay no additional visitors are to be on property. Should you have a special circumstance, reach out to us no less than 48 hours in advance.
  • Be prepared to allow us to collect the name and phone number of everyone in your party in order to comply with contact tracing requirements.
  • NO CONTACT check-in and check-out are always available.
  • If Guests do not have masks upon arrival for check in, we will provide (no contact check-in and check-out always available.)
  • Staff use shoes that are only for inside the inn.
  • We ask Guests to please remove shoes at (front or back) door and slippers will BEE provided.
  • Staff and guest temperature taken upon each arrival and shift.
  • Overnight guests, event guests, vendors, all persons on property must wear a face mask other than while eating. Facemasks will be provided if guests do not have.
  • For a tour of the home, please call us to schedule in advance. Thank you for your understanding and patience in scheduling. We will schedule when most of the entire property is available to view, which is dependent upon occupancy.
  • Have patience as we all adjust to these new precautions and protocols. During these times of much uncertainty, we remain very flexible as to situations such as short notice cancellations. We ask for your understandings if requirements, procedures, pricing or protocols change. Clear, consistent, communication will always be our paramount goal along with creating your five-star experience.
